Mommy Starts Clinic was founded by three doctors who share one passion: supporting mothers and families through one of life's most meaningful journeys. Its team of doctors, lactation counselors and certified midwives runs hands-on classes for expecting and new parents, and brings medical care for mother and baby straight to your home.

Everything is grounded in current medical evidence and taught in small groups, so MomDads leave with practical skills, not just theory. Because becoming a parent doesn't have to be perfect, but it does help to be ready.

Mommy Starts is a regular at gripastudio: its Newborn Care and Breastfeeding 101 classes run here on weekend afternoons.

Newborn Care · by a midwife

Bathing, diapering, dressing and swaddling, holding your baby safely, trimming tiny nails, baby massage, burping, and how to avoid 'mommy wrist'.

Includes a Newborn Care Handbook; baby mannequins provided.

Breastfeeding 101 · by a lactation doctor

How milk is made, skin-to-skin and early initiation, collecting colostrum, positions and latch, reading hunger cues, hand expression, knowing your baby gets enough, and Dad's role.

Free lactation consultation during the session.

Baby Emergency 101 · by a doctor

Infant CPR, choking response, falls and head injuries, fevers and seizures, wounds, burns and insect bites, and when to go to the ER.

Hands-on practice with baby mannequins and an AED; first-aid handbook included.

Hypnobirthing & Childbirth · by a midwife

Breathing through contractions, birthing positions and pushing, rebozo and back-massage techniques for Dads, and knowing when it's time to go to the hospital.

Free midwife consultation during the session.

Prenatal Yoga · by a midwife

Safe, trimester-appropriate postures, stretches for common pregnancy aches, core and pelvic-floor strength, and breathing and relaxation to prepare body and mind for labour.

Bring a yoga mat, gym ball and pillows.

Baby Growth & Development 101 · by a doctor

Milestones through the first year, the right stimulation for each age, red flags to watch for, bonding and attachment, and play-based learning.

Includes the Denver II development checklist and a doctor consultation.

For Mom: postpartum massage, post-caesarean wound care, lactation doctor home visits, colostrum harvesting and multivitamin injections.

For Baby: baby massage, complete baby home care, post-circumcision wound care and the Mommy Starts Mini Makeover. Or choose the Mom & Baby package.

NIPT Home Care

Non-invasive prenatal testing from 10 weeks of pregnancy: a simple blood draw at home that screens your baby's chromosomes, from the three common trisomies up to 92 microdeletion conditions.

Results by email in 7 to 10 working days, followed by a teleconsultation with a doctor.

Vaccination & Health Services

Baby immunisations and vaccines for all ages, doctor home visits, online teleconsultation, and monthly or 3-monthly birth-control injections on your schedule.

Home care covers Jakarta, Depok, Tangerang and Bekasi.
